[MONTREAL, CANADA – July 19, 2026] — Can you score the winning goal? This is the question at the heart of the game in Blue Lock and the challenge in the upcoming boardgame Blue Lock Striker.

Blue Lock is a popular manga created by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and Yusuke Nomura in 2018 and released in English by Kodansha in 2021. An anime series adaption produced by Eightbit was released in 2022. The Blue Lock anime won Anime Corner's Sports Anime of the Year in 2022 and 2024 for Season 1 and Season 2, respectively, and as of June 2026, there are over 60 million copies of the manga in circulation. The Blue Lock franchise continues to expand with a live-action film adaption set to premiere in Japan this summer, in August 2026.
The series follows ambitious sports players who are participating in a rigorous training program to become the world’s most egoistical striker and ultimately win the next World Cup. It gained popularity for its unique psychological twist that redefines ego as a positive tool for athletes and promotes a high-stakes environment, subverting typical sports themes of friendship and teamwork.
The new boardgame Blue Lock Striker puts fans directly into the cut-throat competitive world of Blue Lock. As Yoichi Isagi, Hyoma Chigiri, Seishiro Nagi, or Meguru Bachira, boardgame players must outsmart their rivals, unleash unique powers, and strike to score goals. Designed for 2-4 players, fans can choose to play competitively or cooperatively with a teammate in 2v2 mode.

"With the world watching the World Cup to see who emerges as the best in the sport, there couldn't be a better moment to bring Blue Lock to the tabletop," said Arnaud Perez, CEO & Founder of No Loading Games. "Blue Lock Striker captures the ambition, rivalry, and high-stakes decision-making that have made the series so popular."
Blue Lock Striker is set to release at retail in October 2026.
