ICYMI: Highlights of Gen Con 2026

Gen Con 2026 has officially wrapped and what an unforgettable weekend it was! Despite the storm, floods, and tornado warning, the unpredictable weather couldn't stop the community of board gamers from having an incredible time in Indianapolis.

Here's a look back at some of our biggest highlights from the convention, including the North American debut of PAC-MAN: Craze Maze, memorable moments from the Gwent tournament, and what's coming next.

Let's jump in!

Waka-Waka-Welcome to Indy, PAC-MAN!

Gen Con attendees got to demo our newest game PAC-MAN: Craze Maze and pick up a copy at the show. Throughout the weekend, our tables stayed busy as players of all ages discovered how the iconic arcade classic comes to life with this simple but surprisingly deep strategic card game.

One of the best parts of any convention is watching people experience a game for the very first time. Whether they were lifelong PAC-MAN fans or simply looking for a fast-paced family game, it was exciting to see players laughing, cheering, and immediately asking for another round.

To get you up to speed, listen to Yannick Beaulé, co-author of PAC-MAN: Craze Maze explain how the game plays.

Teaching Rookies to Become Legends in Night City

Gen Con attendees also got a chance to step into the world of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted.

We hosted several Learn to Play sessions during Gen Con to give players an early look at the fast-paced cooperative board game inspired by the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. Participants stepped into the chaos of Night City where teamwork, strategy, and guts are needed to win the game.

With the board game currently available for pre-order and shipping planned for the end of the year, these sessions offered fans a rare early opportunity to experience Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted.

Our next stop with Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – Hunted will be at Gamescom (August 27-31, 2026). Come to our booth in Hall 5, A029 for a demo!

Layin' the Cards Down at a Gwent Tournament

For the second year in a row, we brought Gwent players together at Gen Con to test their skills. They were randomly assigned factions and using initiation decks, had to secure immediate wins in this single-elimination tournament. In the final battle, as per tournament rules, the champion must win the best two of three games with a different faction each game in order to claim ultimate victory in Gwent.

It was an incredible fight until the end. In Game 1 of the finale, Nathan played Northern Realms and won against Cameron playing Nilfgaard. In Game 2 of the finale, Nathan (1-0) was assigned Monsters while Cameron was given a Skellige deck. Once Nathan won the first round of Game 2, Cameron put down all his cards in order to secure a win for round 2. He succeeded, even with Nathan playing all the Monster cards in his hand.

This left the game in an interesting situation. Neither players had cards left in their hand - but as luck would have it, they were both playing a faction that enabled cards to start the third round in the battlefield! For Nathan playing the Monster faction, he could keep a random unit card. For Cameron playing Skellige, he was able to take two cards from his discard (cannot be a Hero) and place them on the battlefield.

Through luck of the draw, Nathan had more points and took home the ultimate victory.

New Playmats Fresh Off the Path

While we've revealed and opened pre-orders for the new Geralt and Ciri playmats earlier this year, Gen Con was also the first time fans could purchase the playmats in person. At the same time, pre-orders of the playmat have been shipped out.

Throughout the weekend, it was exciting to see Witcher fans stop by to check out the artwork up close and add the playmats to their collections. Even Geralt approves of the artwork!

If you missed out at Gen Con, you'll have another chance soon! We'll be bringing copies of PAC-MAN: Craze Maze, Gwent: The Legendary Card Game, and a limited quantity of the Geralt and Ciri playmats to Gamescom, so be sure to stop by our booth A029 in Hall 5.

See you in a few weeks!
